District Information: School Board Meeting Minutes

School Board Minutes-August 2009

REGULAR MEETING, AUGUST 17, 2009
The Board met in regular session August 17th at 7:00 P.M. Members present were Charles Jargo, Sharon Marshall, Andrew Naeve, Steve Gendreau and Warren Koch.


The minutes of the previous meeting were read for approval. Charles Jargo moved and Warren Koch seconded to approve the minutes as read. Roll Call Vote – Gendreau-yes – Koch-yes - Naeve-yes – Marshall-yes – Jargo-yes. Motion carried.


The financial reports were presented for discussion. Andrew Naeve moved and Sharon Marshall seconded to approve the financial reports as presented. Roll Call Vote – Marshall-yes – Jargo-yes – Naeve-yes – Gendreau-yes – Koch-yes. Motion carried.


The monthly bills were presented for discussion. Warren Koch moved and Sharon Marshall seconded to approve the monthly bills as allowed. Roll Call Vote – Naeve-yes – Marshall-yes – Koch-yes – Jargo-yes – Gendreau-yes. Motion carried.


Sharon Marshall moved and Andrew Naeve seconded to approve the agenda with no additions. Roll Call Vote – Jargo-yes – Marshall-yes – Koch-yes – Naeve-yes – Gendreau-yes. Motion carried.


Supt.’s report:
(a) IASB Convention;
(b) Report on the stimulus money;
(c) Report by Mr. Gray and Mr. McDonough on in-service and first day of school.
There was no old business to discuss or act upon.


The Board tabled action on the proposed affirmative action plan and the proposed special education delivery system plan.


Charles Jargo moved and Warren Koch seconded to purchase computer software for the school library. Roll Call Vote – Jargo-yes – Koch-yes – Gendreau-yes – Naeve-yes – Marshall-yes. Motion carried.


Andrew Naeve moved and Sharon Marshall seconded to adopt the revised board policies. Roll Call Vote – Naeve-yes – Marshall-yes – Koch-yes – Gendreau-yes – Jargo-yes. Motion carried.


Being there was no further business to discuss or act upon, Sharon Marshall moved and Warren Koch seconded to adjourn the meeting. Roll Call Vote – Marshall-yes - Naeve-yes – Koch-yes – Jargo-yes – Gendreau-yes. Motion carried.
