Open Enrollment Deadline

OPEN ENROLLMENT NOTIFICATION

Parents/Guardians considering the use of the open enrollment option to enroll their child/children in another public school district in the state of Iowa be aware of the following dates:
• *March 1, 2010- last date for regular open enrollment requests for the 2010-2011 school year.  If the student meets the definition of GOOD CAUSE under section 281 of the Iowa Administrative code 17.4 (1), the application can be accepted after March 1, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year.  The deadline for kindergarten students for 2010-2011 school year is Sept. 1, 2010 according to Iowa Code Sect. 28-17.3(2).
• Parents should be aware that open enrollment may result in the loss of athletic eligibility
