There are lots of cool things about living in Sabula (say "sa-beulah"-a Latin word for "sand"). The citizens of this town and students of East Central Middle School are some of the neatest people you will ever meet.
Sabula's earliest history dates to a Native American village discovered in 1835 and later settled by pioneers. Since then many businesses have come and gone until you have what there is today,-a thriving, small (pop. 710), friendly, recreational midwestern town surrounded by Mississippi River waters and rich heritage. We hope you'll enjoy your stay here and that you visit our surrounding landmarks and tourist attractions.
